AZUL PROFUNDO COLLECTION
Technique: Baetón
The textile piece that highlights the baetón technique in strident blue was summoned to integrate the Azul Distante collection, in the Darkhaus gallery (Rosario). Mantara custom-made this rug that contains a burgundy circle, in harmony with the scenographic approach.
It was developed to articulate a specific color palette that would dialogue with light, water, the sky, the landscape, the horizon. Also the distance, the playful and dreamlike. The collection arises from the meeting between Yves Klein, creator of International Klein Blue (IKB), and the essay “The Blue of Distance” by Rebecca Solnit. The piece, thus, seeks to convey the serenity and beauty of the world through shades of blue and soft, curved shapes that create a harmonious and calm atmosphere in a winter environment.
The circle, of great significance, is key in the history of Mantara. The symbol challenges our own DNA captured in textile history. We are a B company and in this sense we are aligned with the concepts of the circular economy. We reuse raw materials from wool production waste and reconvert them into value-added textiles to achieve efficient use of resources. This is how the circle begins, extending the useful life of the material. We generate new jobs We follow the parameters of triple impact Our economic model goes beyond economic benefit and profitability: we seek to generate a social and environmental impact Our view is social, we care and care about the situation of the community of artisans and craftsmen We innovate in development We work with sustainable production standards.
A rug, a circle, a comprehensive concept.
