The collections stems from a ludic proposal, where artisans are called together to promote creativity through a trigger idea: a flower. How can a flower be visually represented? The stem, the leaf, the bud. Each and every one of the designers styled the flowers according to their imagination, after drawing a sketch which obeyed their personal vision, that conceptual figuration which was formed with a stick on the ground and then it planted it textile seed to transform itself in a bouquet of unique and personal flowers.

_twins

tecnique
chusi y pelo cortado

Mantara launches the twin line, a textil piece that is a work of art in itself. The design and the realization summarize the ancestral knowledge of the Chusi technique, which is masterfully developed by a team of professionals and artisans of marked trajectory. It also involves, multiple techniques, proposing a dialogue between the embroiderer, the loom and the superposition of solutions to result in an authentic author´s design.
Starting from the base of one of the most widespread techniques in the region, the Chusi, different actions are combined that result in one of the most original pieces on the market. The cut pile of different lengths constitutes one of the differentials, added to the separately woven pieces that are later joined to form the main development. While some threads are worked directly on the rug itself, others are joined or embroidered according to the needs of the design. A unique piece, a textile work of art to treasure.

The Seven Colors Collection is inspired on the topography of the northern hills which have that same name. A multicolor festival which blends into the Purmamarca landscape and reflects in its ancient layers the sediments that were deposited there. Mantara takes up this northern milestone and launches a collection which blends geometry, nature and landscape. Natural dyes, wool from sheep brought up with respect, commitment and a unique design. The landscape inspires us, shakes us, it challenges us.
